Synopsis:
Abhijit impulsively decides to shift base from Mumbai to a small town in Maharashtra to be a high school English teacher. What awaits him there is a ‘typical’ school and the wonderfully diverse students he encounters! The play is about those little interventions in the classroom and the little ripples that get created within the students, which can often become part of the student’s skins for a lifetime.

Advanced Workshop Programme with 2Theatre: Platform and Mime

The Drama School, Mumbai strives to bring the best of international theatre training to the theatre community in India through our Advanced Workshop Programme. This December we bring 2Theatre, all the way from London UK, down to Mumbai to give a select few the taste of Platform Theatre, Clowning, French Mime.

And what’s more, over a 4 day intensive workshop, participants will get a chance to bring all these physical skills together in a small presentation for an invited audience.

Facilitated by Svetlana Biba & Txema Perez from 2Theatre, UK

Svetlana is former student of Marcel Marceau and university lecturer at London CSSD, lead in SOAP The Show world-tour and a theatre director in UK & Sweden. Txema is an actor in European cinema and television, a graduate from Actors Studio LA, works for the National Theatre in Bilbao and teaches physical theatre in USA & EU.

Eligibility: Open to all however, preference will be given to performers and physically trained actors.
